Welcome to the 2nd Annual SchoolDesigner Design Collabetition – where collaboration and competition meet! It´s a Competition because there will be winners ! It´s a Collaboration because everyone will be working together to select the winners!

Welcome Judges

Thank you for participating as a judge! Our online judging process is simple but we few a comments before you begin.

Votes can be cast ranging from Platinum (highest) to Bronze (lowest) for each entry.
We will tally points based on the following: Platinum – 4pts, Gold- 3pts, Silver – 2pts Bronze 1 pt.

You can vote on as many entries as you like but we suggest picking three platinum, three gold, three silver and three bronze.

Please be sure to vote for entries in each category. All K-12 School submissions are in the “General” Category. All Higher Education submissions are in the “Higher Education” Category. In addition, there are three sub-categories. You will see entries reappear in these sub-categories.

Judging Categories

The 3 sub-categories are as follows:

  • Innovative Classroom: Innovative design for a classroom that meets the educational needs of the students and teachers.
The classroom may be in the design stage or already in use in a completed facility. Student entries are encouraged.
  • Green Piece: Entries that promote energy efficiency, high performance schools and any other element of school design that relates to the burgeoning “Green” building sector.
  • Fitness: innovative design elements in schools that will help to fight childhood obesity. The focus is on elements that encourage students to participate in activities that provide exercise and fitness training.

Judging criteria:

We are intentionally vague regarding this topic because we believe you know what good school design looks like. We are not relying on a handful of distinguished professionals to tell us what is good and bad. So, we trust you.

You are welcome to vote more than once. Please note that all votes are subject to verification and inconsistencies will be disqualified. Make sure to exit the voting area before voting again.

Based on the online voting results, we plan to narrow the entries down and have a second round of voting for the finalists.

We thank you for taking the time to participate in the second annual Design Collabetition. Please make sure you have registered your email address to be notified of additional opportunities as judging continues.
