Sometimes a nice detail can be as simple as a concrete or brick pattern. In this example it is the concrete at the top of the column called the capital. The geometric wheat column capitals create an organic building element in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. This agricultural community is pleased that their new building reflects the horizon character and massing of the region. Maroney, AIA Materials: Plaster Stone Brick Comments: "The detail can be seen on the exterior and interior of the building, providing a nice accent. The repetition of the capitals on the interior photo blend nicely with the ceiling above." Joel@schooldesigner.com | High School
