Modular Simplicity

This project places two high schools with very different missions, pedagogical approaches, and students on a tight urban site. While the LPS High School follows the more traditional approach to learning spaces and state standard education, the Gompers High School embraces a teaching style based on team teaching in a project-based environment where the ability to create flexible spaces is critical. With the added challenges of a tight budget and a modular construction approach, the design response attempts to marry all of these divergent needs into a cohesive, inspirational whole.
