Barack Obama Global Preparatory Academy weaves itself into the urban fabric of Los Angeles while creating a safe zone of higher learning. The main building's linear façade faces a central business corridor, interlacing itself among colorful businesses with broken segments of color and form. As the main campus continues, the scale reduces in reaction to the residential street of single family homes surrounding it and creates a park-like atmosphere with its rear courtyard and fields.
