Cubby as Aperture to the Natural Environment

Interactivity between nature and learning is encouraged by the presence of a series of cubby like aperture units used in both outdoor and indoor settings. By displacing something familiar to the kids such as a cubby and placing them in nature, the goal is to create connections between learning and the environment and between the different age groups. Nature becomes part of the learning environment because it is linked by this familiar object.
