An Urban Oasis

In the middle of an urban setting, Hess students have access to a safe learning environment filled with nature. The courtyard is comprised of three spaces: an outdoor classroom, an art patio, and a science patio. Activity tables, benches, planting beds, and a multi-level pond encourage exploration. Students can view fish, tadpoles, and turtles in the pond, or watch the local family of bluebirds, which have taken up residence in the bird house.
