Southern Sustainability

As one of the first New Orleans schools to open after Hurricane Katrina, Greater Gentilly features of host of sustainable elements customized to the region. To protect from future floods, most academic and resource spaces are located on the second and third floors. A ground-level garage reduces the site footprint and maximizes green space. Designed for LEED Silver, the building includes moisture-resistant finishes, wind-resistant galvanized steel, and hurricane impact-resistant window systems.
