This new child development school is part of a neo-traditional neighborhood in rural Clackamas county.

Inspired by a nearby wooden barn and Grange Hall, the new school is a simple form with special details unfolding at the entries and connections to the three separate office buildings it shares its site with.

Steel canopies, covered curved entry stair and covered playareas not only provide shelter in the wet winters, but link the buildings together in a neo-traditional way.

Additional Info:

Tight knot cedar siding and stone accents were selected as primary materials- for their overall warmth and non-institutional feel for the school.
