The concept was to create a marquis building with distictive volume, massing and materials. The roof with extended wings over the patio gives the building a monumental stature while serving to protect students from rain and sun. The design intent was to maximise the sense of transparancy from exterior to interior reinforced by the full height glazing and wide openings for efficient access.
