An accurate globe of the upper Western Hemisphere hangs in the center of the main Lobby. Hundreds of fiber optic lights represent major cities and population centers, with State capitols indicated in contrasting colors. The topography is represented with vibrant colors and the globe is properly aligned north-south. The flooring pattern and a compass rose are one floor below, and are visible through the opening at the railing.
