John McLaren Child Development Center

This new 11,000 sf modular campus is a positive asset to the neighborhood by removing blighted and abandoned bungalows and providing a modern, accessible preschool and after school center.


The design utilized two basic modules, , with 6 Classrooms, Multipurpose Room with warming kitchen and performance space and an Administrative Building. The Administrative Building houses school offices, a Parents' Center and Teachers Lounge. The siting of the modular's created a central play yard that was scaled for a child's use and is easily supervised.
