The Judson Early College Academy (JECA) is the result of a partnership between JISD (Judson Independent School District) and Northeast Lakeview College (NLC). Located on the NLC Campus, JECA is a small campus designed to enable all students to earn an Associate's Degree of their choice and at the same time that earn a distinguished high school diploma.

JECA Architecture and Planning
The Judson Early College Academy (JECA) campus is developed as two building "blocks" that are linked together yet each with its own identifying architectural features. The academic block is comprised of a two-level structure with classrooms, science and computer labs, teacher workrooms and large gathering instruction spaces. Designed as a one story structure, the administration block is bisected into a tall volume student center and administration offices. Both the academic block and administration block are linked by a bridge that connects them at the second level and it provides a covered walk at the ground level.

Architectural Dialogue
The architectural intention of the NLC campus buildings is to create a strong tie to the . As doing so there is a strong relationship between the architecture and academic goals of both campuses. Such similarities include the use of materials such as brick, stone and metal features and the innovative use of expressed structural features. The design of the campus is firmly rooted in the present, but its design strongly acknowledges its tie to the future without looking backward to the past.
