Programmed and designed as a center of creativity and enrichment, the Rittmann Fine Arts Center incorporates both presentation and learning environments for use by students and the community. It fosters creativity, provides a comfortable and workable environment, and stimulates artistic exploration and interaction. The incorporation of spatial and technological flexibility enables multi-use of the facility during and after school hours. Sited at the corner of the campus with an expansive glass façade, the pavilion serves as a “front door” to the campus. Additional Info: The Center features a 400-seat courtyard; theater; dressing rooms; scene shop; costume storage; choral, string, and band rehearsal rooms; 2D/3D computer graphics and photography studios; and a lobby/gallery area. Acoustical challenges were addressed to accommodate simultaneous activities without interference or disruption. An open architectural environment characterizes the lobby/gallery which transitions from the theater entrance to a securable showcase area for student and local art shows. | Elementary School
