The new classroom building included a garden design which provided each grade with their own garden plot. During the school year students decide what they will plant, and are assigned to keep track of the plants' growth, while maintaining the soil through soil analysis. Younger students participate in taste tests – eating the school-grown veggies, and graphing the taste-test results.

Some students will also study how restaurants are managed along with the varying radii for the food they purchase or grow.
