Reach for the sky

The 'Reach for the Sky' theme for Ron Clark Academy's new library is tied into the library's main attraction, a bungee trampoline. Through reading, students can reach new heights. The bungee trampoline is a physically engaging element that is part of a programmatically integrated reward system which encourages students to excel in reading and academics. For their effort in meeting or exceeding certain goals, a student gains the privilege to jump. While surrounded by cheering classmates and teachers, they soar and reach toward the limits of the sky.

High resolution image panels with Ron Clark Academy students jumping in the clouds were used in various ways throughout the library. They were used as railing panels, table tops, and cafe bar and circulation desk accents to tie the theme into different elements. The images of the Academy's own students promote self esteem, ownership, and motivation.
