Stacked configurations of rectangular and arch-top awning windows allow an abundance of natural light into the interior and serve to break up the building´s horizontal, linear appearance. In addition, Tan aluminum cladding provides a low-maintenance exterior. To minimize janitorial maintenance and safety concerns, the design team specified windows with between-the-glass commercial blinds. The tilt-only window treatments have no roomside cords, and are protected from dust, damage and little hands. As an added benefit, the windows expand the tackable wall space in the classroom for displaying student artwork and other classroom decorations
